With a thriving career as a choreographer for the pole dance and aerial arts industry, Kelly Yvonne‘s work has launched the career of numerous professional pole performers! Since 2009 she has founded an award-winning pole dance performance academy, The Choreography House; created/produced/directed the first nationally touring Artistic Pole Dance Troupe and, through Kelly Yvonne Productions, she has directed live shows, tours, competitions and events around the globe. In 2015 she will add “Music Video Director” to her list of credits!
Each year Kelly Yvonne continues to redefine the concept of Pole Dance Entrepreneur.
Kelly Yvonne is the leading choreographer in the artistic pole dance and fitness industry and has choreographed numerous award-winning routines for professional pole athletes, including Natasha Wang, Nadia Shariff, Sasja Lee, Charlee Wagner and many more! Since 2009, her pole dance choreography has been awarded over 50 national and international titles and has been featured in competitions around the world, including the United States Pole Dance Federation (USPDF), California Pole Dance Championship (CPDC), International Pole Championship (IPC) and the American Pole Fitness Association (APFA). In 2012 she was named “Choreographer of the Year” by the International Pole Dance Fitness Association (IPDFA) for Natasha Wang’s 2011 USPDF Championship routine inspired by the film “Black Swan”. The following year IPDFA named her performance academy, The Choreography House, “Studio of the Year” for it’s outstanding contributions to the pole dance and fitness industry.
Before discovering pole dance, Kelly Yvonne was a competitive dance team member and won several national titles in high school. She began her choreography career in her teens coaching competitive cheer and dance teams and moved on to choreograph and coach for several nationally-ranked collegiate, high school and all-star performance groups. While attending the University of California, Berkeley she choreographed various performance routines for the Cal Dance Team throughout her two years as a dance team member. Shortly thereafter she began dancing for the National Basketball Association’s Golden State Warriors and subsequently the Los Angeles Clippers; on each respective team her choreography was featured during the regular season games in the Staples Center (Los Angeles, CA) and Oracle Arena (Oakland, CA). She was also a guest choreographer for the Portland Trailblazers Dance Team.
In 2003, she relocated to Los Angeles for a dance scholarship at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio. After the scholarship program ended, she started her first dance troupe and Kelly Yvonne Productions was born. She discovered artistic pole dance in 2009 and launched Girl Next Door – a pole dance soirée at King King Hollywood. Two years later she opened The Choreography House, the first 24 hour pole dance training and rehearsal studio in North Hollywood, CA and in 2013 she created SEVEN at Supperclub Los Angeles.
Ultimately Kelly Yvonne is a creative problem-solver eager to collaborate with the movers and shakers of the world! She fuses her architectural design background with her love for performing arts to create unique and dynamic live shows. Kelly Yvonne Productions is a culmination of this tireless, yet rewarding effort.
